Bible Study
Bible study is just that: studying the book of the Bible; book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse. A disciple of Jesus Christ seeks first the Kingdom of God and all his righteousness. Disciples are students of the Word of God and they meditate therein night and day. Their focus each day is to grow their relationship with the Lord: to know a little more about God and Jesus Christ—to bring their thoughts, speech, and lives in order with the Word of God. Because of their strong belief and obedience they have the sign of the New Covenant: the Word written in their hearts. Thus, as they receive more Word, it grows strong roots and brings forth more spiritual fruit. They are actively growing from a babe in Christ to a spiritually mature son/daughter of God. Their spiritual ears are attuned to the still small voice of God and they obey his voice ... they "are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" (Romans 8:14).
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD... (Isaiah 1:18)
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear... (1 Peter 3:15)
Let all things be done unto edifying. (1 Corinthians 14:26)
